Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared Civil Services (Main) Examination 2011 held by UPSC in October-November 2011 and the Interviews for Perdonality Test held in March-April 2012. A total number of 910 candidates have been recommended for appointment in IAS, IFS, IPS and Group A & Group B Central service posts. The selected candidates including 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
UPSC Top 25 caniddates include 19 male (including 01 visually challenged candidate) and 06 female candidates. Shena Aggarwal, who has done MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) became the Topper of UPSC 2012. It was her third attempt this time. The 2nd ranker is Rukmani Riar, who has done Master of Arts (Social Entrepreneurship) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
